Garlic Bread Caprese Grilled Cheese
Garlic Bread Caprese Grilled Cheese combines the comforting flavors of garlic bread and classic grilled cheese. Lemonfair's Spanish Roja Garlic Powder adds a fragrant twist to buttery, toasted bread. It’s an easy, flavorful upgrade to a classic grilled cheese that’s perfect for a quick lunch or dinner. Customize to your liking, or what you have on hand- remove the caprese if you don’t have tomato, fresh mozarella, or basil, add in apples, bacon, jam… you name it.
Ingredients:
4 tablespoons softened butter, plus more for the pan
1 tablespoon chopped parsley
2 teaspoons Lemonfair’s Spanish Roja Garlic Powder
4 slices crusty bread
1/2 cup freshly grated Gruyère
1/2 cup freshly grated mozzarella
2 slices tomato
6 slices fresh mozzarella
2-4 basil leaves
Directions:
Using a fork, thoroughly mix together softened butter, garlic powder, and parsley. Spread the mixture onto one side of each piece of bread.
Heat a pan over medium low with a touch more butter. Place 2 slices of bread, butter side down, on the pan.
Add Gruyère, both types of mozzarella, tomato slices, and basil to each. Top with the second piece of bread on each, butter side up. Cook on both sides of each sandwich until golden brown.
