Saffron Spritz

Saffron Spritz

Bright, bubbly, and effortlessly refreshing, this Saffron Spritz recipe is a simple way to enjoy saffron in a light summer drink. Made with just a pinch of Lemonfair’s Vermont-grown saffron, this spritz highlights the spice’s delicate floral notes and naturally golden color without overpowering the palate. It’s perfect for hot days, casual gatherings, or anytime you want something sparkling and a little unexpected. It makes a very elegnat drink to sip on the hottest of summer days.

Saffron pairs beautifully with citrus, and blooming it in hot water allows its aroma, flavor, and color to fully develop. Using high-quality, small-batch saffron grown in Vermont makes all the difference here—because when a recipe is this minimal, every ingredient matters. Lemonfair saffron is hand-harvested and carefully dried, meaning you only need a tiny amount to transform a drink.

This Saffron Spritz is intentionally versatile. You can enjoy it as a refreshing non-alcoholic option (as this recipe is written), or add a splash of vodka to turn it into an elegant saffron cocktail for summer entertaining. With dry lemonade for crisp citrus flavor and seltzer for lift, it’s light, invigorating, and very easy and simple to make in minutes. Whether you’re new to cooking with saffron or looking for a fresh way to use it, this recipe shows just how approachable Vermont-grown saffron can be. It is also a beautiful way to showcase saffron’s color, aroma, and flavor in a modern, seasonal drink. And what a refreshing new way to use saffron!
